Seasons

There are four seasons in a year. They are winter, spring summer and autumn.

The winter months are December, January and February. It is usually cold in winter. It often snows in winter. We can play snowballs and make a snowman. In winter days are short and nights are long.

The spring months are March, April and May. It isn’t cold in spring. It is warm and nice. Snow melts and birds begin to sing. Nature wakes up in spring. You can see small green leaves in trees and the first flower of spring, the snowdrop.

The summer months are June, July and August. It is very hot in summer. We can eat ice-cream. We can go outside and play different outdoor games. We can swim too. Days are long and nights are short in summer.

The autumn months are September, October and November. It is warm in September and October. But sometimes it is cold in November. Autumn has got a lot of colours. Leaves are yellow, brown, and red in autumn. It often rains in autumn.

All the seasons are beautiful.
